ISP Lixxus has launched a new 2Mbps broadband ADSL package for home users, which includes free landline calls, all for only £9.99 per month. Lixxus are also offering a free Voice and ADSL2 enabled modem worth £116.99 to customers migrating from other ISPs:
Basically, they provide everything you need to make a call, go online, game online and the router will still work when they move you up to a 24Mb broadband connection.
Unlike many Broadband providers, Lixxus' Broadband and Voice (Voice over IP) model is truly plug and play, using your existing telephone handset to make telephone calls, free to other internet phone users, free to UK landlines* and at low internet rates for international and to mobiles. In addition you get a PAYGO broadband connection thrown in for free, only paying if and when you use it.
For many users the generic model offered by other ISPs and Voice over IP providers like SKYPE, requires you to buy special SIP internet phones or buy a headset, download software and, in some cases like SKYPE, set up your broadband through a different provider. The Lixxus Voice and Broadband package gives customers everything they need to make a call over the internet using an existing phone. The package also provides a broadband connection, router and a second telephone line all for a £9.99 per month subscription (minimum term 12 months).
As if this wasnt enough, Lixxus is working with See Film First to offer all Lixxus customers free cinema tickets. With around 500 participating cinemas and up to 250,000 tickets to give away. As were still celebrating our first birthday, we want to give something back.
http://www.lixxus.co.ukPerhaps the most interesting thing is their supply of an ADSL2 modem, which is a clever move that makes any future upgrade to such technology a doddle.
We note that the 2Mbps package listed above is a pure pay-as-you-go model, hence the price.
