Customers of
Aramiska's broadband satellite services have, without any prior warning, been sent a message notifying them of the providers imminent closure
TODAY! Unsurprisingly there's a great deal of shock and anger.
So far we've received five messages from readers, although one in particular explains it best:
------------------------
I am a customer of Aramiska for satellite broadband. I pay £250 a month for the "privilege" of a 2Mb connection and I just received this rather curt message:
We regret to inform you that Aramiska and its services are shutting down and the company will be unable to provide you with internet access after today, 27th of January 2006.
No further explanation, and it is with immediate effect.
Apart from being really annoying for me and a bunch of other businesses who rely on this service, it is simply amazing how they have communicated this !------------------------
No warnings, indication or communication of any other kind relating to this shock news is listed on Aramiska's website. We are currently trying to get more details and some kind of explanation from the ISP.
