Examining Plusnetís Heavy Users
By: MarkJ - 13 December, 2005 (9:21 AM)

Interestingly the Plusnet Usergroup has managed to post a detailed layout of customer data consumption across the ISP's broadband ADSL network. It shows that while the average download per customer is 5.28GB, the top 10% of users consume a much larger average of 36.72GB.

The top 1% of users across all products download an astonishing average of 107.20GB each (more than 20 times the overall average) Ė and surprisingly the "top 10" do not use P2P at all, instead using external Usenet providers.

Comments and further information can be made and found in our forum - HERE. The original article is located HERE. Credits go to Plusnet for opening the data up to the public.
