It's now been a week (
here) since satellite broadband ISP
Ouranos Networks (formerly Aramiska) cut-off its customers blaming "
network problems". Today the service still remains offline.
The website itself has returned, yet customers still appear to be in the dark about what is actually happening. Many believe that, not unlike Aramiska before it, Ouranos may be suffering financial problems. This wouldn't surprise us given the massive competition from cheaper, faster and more versatile land-based broadband services.
There had been reports that Ouranos might attempt to reconnect the network this week, yet so far nobody has inform us of any change and the website continues to carry a warning. Meanwhile one rival, Bridge Broadband, has stepped up to offer users another choice -
HERE.
We will continue to monitor the situation and report back when something new is learnt.
