Satellite ISP Micronet Broadband has today launched a new series of products designed for people who are unable to get ADSL or suffer from slow speeds due to old technologies:
The new service is based on the SkyDSL platform and offers channel bundling enabling to combine the users current download speed to satellite download speed and a offer truly unlimited downloading via satellite at up to 4mbit/s with no fair use policy on selected services.
The services are based on the Atlantic Bird 2 satellite at 8 degrees west (352 degrees east) but are also available on Eurobird 2 at 33 Degrees East. To connect users will need a standard TV type digital satellite dish aligned to the satellite and also any type of DVB satellite modem, then simply buy an account and install the SkyDSL software.
We can supply a unlimited up to 1mbit/s download service for 59.00 euros per month and the speed is pretty much always hitting 1mbit/s and there is no best effort pool to worry about after you have downloaded a certain amount, so its the perfect solution for fast unlimited downloading.
Or now we can also supply unlimited download services with no fair use policy these packages are called SkyVelox, with these packages even excessive download use is permitted and the maximum speed is available is up to 4mbit/s.

The 59 Euros unrestricted package is only a one-way solution; hence you will need another connection (dialup etc.) to manage the upstream link. Theres also a £20 activation fee.
Most one-way services are much more restrictive, but also considerably cheaper, hence the 19.90 Euros package comes with a 1GB data cap.
