BT Gains Regulator Approval For Pipex Bid

Reports suggest that Virgin Media isn't the only company to have a real interest in buying Pipex, it's understood that BT has now also been given regulatory approval to bid.
Whispers hint that the Carphone Warehouse and Sky may be keen too, although so far only BT and Virgin seem to be giving it any serious consideration. Further information is expected later this week.
Pipexs complex set of ISP ownerships makes the group difficult to manage and tedious to integrate into a single brand, hence customers will be very concerned for the future.
