Electrical retailer Comet has found that 48% of children use the Internet more in holidays than during term time, which is kind of obvious. Sadly 64% remain unsupervised during this period:
The survey shows that during the holidays 59% of children use chatrooms or Instant Messenger to communicate online.
According to findings, among the 36 per cent of children that have made new friends online, 46 per cent would agree to meet up with them over the summer, while 4 per cent do so without their parents' knowledge.More @
