IC24 has begun its push for fair industry practice towards broadband ADSL migration. The provider hopes to see an end to practices where an ISP fails to release or charges the customer for their Migration Authorisation Code (MAC):
Until they do, IC24 has agreed to help cover the cost of a MAC for any customer who is switching their broadband service from an ISP who charges for a MAC.
Weve recently had correspondence from potential customers who wish to migrate to us, but their old ISP is charging them for a MAC. Like them, we are outraged, stated Samara Zittin, IC24 Brand Manager. There needs to be more pressure from within the industry to promote fair practice. These providers are clearly so worried about the quality of their service that they need to use restrictive tactics to keep their customers on board. I see no other reason why these ISPs havent signed up to OFCOMs Voluntary Code of Practice governing migrations.
If you migrate to IC24 and your ISP charged you for a MAC, IC24 will cover the cost up to £30. For full Terms and Conditions please visit http://www.ic24.net
