New UK ISP
Good Connection has joined the already charitable ranks of Waitroes and CharityDays by offering at least 50% of its profits to partner charities. The provider offers both dialup and restrictive broadband ADSL products:
Good Connection said at least 50 per cent of its profits will go to partner charities which include Save The Children, Children In Distress, The Rainforest Foundation, Outward Bound, Roundstreet Healing Trust and Leonard Cheshire.
Users can nominate which individual charity benefits from subscription or select all or any of the charities.Broadband packages start at £18.99 per month for a 512Kbps service (£20.99 for 2Mbps), which is only so cheap because each is suffocated by a 2GB monthly data cap.
There's also an unwelcome minimum contract period of 12 months. Don't simply join a service for its charitable side, especially when it lacks flexibility. More @
