Microsoft has decided to rebrand its website browser software, known currently as 'Internet Explorer' (IE), to.. wait for it.. 'Windows Internet Explorer' (WIE). The dramatic (sarcasm) name change will be accompanied by a new logo.
Reports suggest that the reason for this seemingly benign rebranding is because the new IE interface will look very different to the original. Supposedly Microsoft didn't want to confuse anybody, yet required a new name to reflect the difference, in which case we say "JOB DONE".
For those wondering, the new logo is almost virtually identical to the original as well.
