Paul Cowell of ISP EFHBroadband has today spoken of the confusion Internet users often face when having to migrate between IPStream and Datastream ADSL products and providers:
EFHBroadband.com has found that many users are still unaware that they can now migrate from DataStream to IPStream and that speeds can be re-graded during the migration process. Single DataStream to IPStream migrations have been available for several months now.
This potentially affects a large number of users who have found it difficult to change supplier because they were on a DataStream service. Previously, users with DataStream connections have been unable to move to IPStream without a cease and re-provide, which has resulted in weeks of downtime and higher setup fees.
This gives much more freedom to users previously tied into a provider because they were on a DataStream service. said Paul Cowell of EFHBroadband.com. IPStream is commonly regarded as the better of the two broadband options, but DataStream users have often been stuck with a provider once they have signed up. This has now changed, but calls to our sales line indicate that many people dont realise this is the case.
As an added benefit, the migrations can now also be re-graded at the same time, for no additional charge. Migrations were previously restricted to like for like services, and then required a separate re-grade.
The ability to migrate and re-grade services, and the substantial cost savings therefore available, should see a significant shift in the market as customers are given choices they previously didnt have all thats needed now is to make people aware of their choices, Paul added.
