Broadband surfers living in the UK will be pleased to learn that the BBC (TV) has now made its "
free" online video-on-demand (VoD) iPlayer service available to download:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayerbeta/Sadly it's only open to those running a Microsoft Windows operating system (XP2), although they do have plans to expand it onto MAC's. Linux compatibility remains somewhat more uncertain.
Understandably any programmes downloaded, which will help consume your ISP's bandwidth too, will be deleted following their viewing or after 30 days.
