UK-Bug reports that Tiscali has cut the price of its 'up to' 1Mbps broadband ADSL package to £7.99 per month for the first 3 months and then £12.99 thereafter, including a free modem and connection.
The provider has also launched a new broadband and line rental (voice) bundle for £14.99 per month ('up to' 2Mbps) or £19.99 if you want an 'up to' 8Mbps connection. Unlike the other package, this one requires a setup fee of £30.
Line rental is touted as being free, as are weekend calls, although you'd need to be on Tiscali's unbundled (
LLU) network to benefit, which currently covers 52% of the UK. The usual and somewhat vague Fair Usage Policy (FUP) applies, as does a 12 month contract.
