Zen Internet has today confirmed its inception into BT Wholesale's market trial of the forthcoming Home IPStream 2000 (2Mbps) ADSL product. The '
ZenADSL Home 2000' package costs £44.99 per month (inc. VAT):
ZenADSL Home 2000 is the ideal solution for the home user who is looking for more bandwidth to enable even faster downloads, speedily download more than one item at a time, or to download an item without it being as detrimental to the browsing experience. As an example of the speed of this service, it is up to eighty times faster than ZenADSL Home 250, which is Zen's entry-level service for family users and a step-up from the restrictions of a dial-up connection.
"As one of the UK's leading ISPs, we pride ourselves in offering our customers the latest technology as soon as it becomes available to us," said Ian Buckley, marketing manager, Zen Internet.
He continues: "As broadband users start to realise the benefits of a fast, always-on Internet connection, they tend to become even hungrier for greater bandwidth access. And, with more and more people taking advantage of the opportunity to work from home, ZenADSL Home 2000 is the ideal solution."
If this trial proves to be a success with the technology performing as expected and an encouraging take-up, then BT Wholesale will take the service to a full commercial launch with easy upgrade paths and ISP migrations enabled in early 2005.Don't be surprised if several other well known providers come out with their own trial options over the coming week.
