Nildram has cut the cost of its broadband and wireless routers by over 40%. It's hoped the move will help customers set up their own networks and provide security from hackers etc.:
The ISP is offering Netgears DG834 broadband router for just £42 and DG834g wireless broadband router for £53 (both excluding VAT) representing savings of £33 and £47. Both products combine an ADSL modem, router, four-port LAN switch and a firewall, providing quick, easy and secure network access via all connected devices. The routers are also available on a standalone basis for £49.99 and £64.99 respectively.
Unlike the majority of broadband modems, which lack built-in security measures, Nildrams discounted routers include a firewall to help keep networks safe from attack and enable secure access to corporate systems via a VPN pass-through. In addition, as part of the PIPEX Group, Nildram runs on a robust and resilient tier one communications network, providing customers with peace of mind and high performance.
Sean Stephenson, Managing Director of Nildram, comments, "With more companies choosing wireless connectivity and remote working to adapt to modern business, securing corporate networks are top of the agenda. We realise this importance and work with our business and residential customers to advise them on the best ways of keeping their networks safe from hackers and other online threats. Using routers is the first step to help our customers keep themselves protected from online threats."
