NTL/TW Become NTL Incorporated

Posted: 04th Mar, 2006 By: MarkJ
It's official, the UK's two largest cable operators (NTL & Telewest) have ironed out the details and completed their merger to become known as 'NTL Incorporated'. But what does this mean for their respective customers?:

Surely my services are going to change?

Today it's business as usual and there's no change to your services, contracts, prices or customer service contacts as a result of the completion of the merger. However, we will go through a process of integrating the businesses, based on taking forward the best of both. As decisions are made and changes take place, we will ensure that information is communicated to you as early as is possible.

In other words, expect changes in the future, just not right away. We understand that both operators have a number of technical hurdles to resolve before both can truly become one.

The official and rather un-detailed press release can be read HERE. Meanwhile Telewest has placed a customer focused FAQ online HERE, although most of it is marketing speak and of little practical interest.
