BT Retails 8Mbps Broadband Deals

BT's own ISP wing has announced the launch of a new £11.99 per month (first 3 months) 8Mbps ADSL product. Meanwhile existing customers will be offered a free upgrade to the new speeds, albeit at the cost of agreeing to a new 12 month contract =(:
The new ultra-fast service up to four times faster than current speeds offered by BT is available from today to new customers taking BTs Option 4 broadband package. It will be available to new customers selecting Option 3 from April 11, 2006 and will be offered to new customers choosing Option 1 and Option 2 packages later in Spring 2006.
BT also announced today that customers switching to BT from other broadband providers can now enjoy broadband and inclusive Evening and Weekend UK Broadband Talk calls for just £11.99 for the first three months.
Existing BT Broadband customers are being offered a free upgrade to the new higher speed service on a first-come, first-served basis. All existing customers can go to http://www.bt.com/getbroadband for information on how to order or pre-register for their free upgrade.
Existing customers regrading to the new service will be subject to a new 12 month contract starting from the date of the regrade.
BTs line checker at http://www.bt.com/getbroadband has been updated to show the expected speeds available for individual lines.
New customers can order the new higher speed service from BT Broadband from April 4, 2006 at http://www.bt.com/getbroadband or by calling 0800 328 9041.
Customers looking to switch to unlimited Evening and Weekend Broadband Talk calls together with broadband should go to http://www.bt.com/broadband/value.
