It's been reported that PlusNet experienced an outage on its broadband network during Wednesday morning, cutting off an unknown number of its customers:
Brian Trevaskiss, marketing manager of PlusNet told VNUNet that the fault had been traced to a failed fibre link connecting into Telehouse.
The detail is that one of the fibre links to Telehouse were we house equipment in London has failed this morning. We are in the processing of switching the service round to get it up and running again. It is annoying that it has happened, said Trevaskiss.
He added that the firm hoped that the service would be back up and running by today [THURSDAY].Unfortunately there was no history of the problem on PlusNet's service status page; meanwhile MetroNet's site (owned by PlusNet) refused to load. It would appear as if the problems have not yet been fully resolved.
