Cable Forum reports that ntl:Telewest and Virgin Mobile have teamed up to launch 'Knowfirst', an information website dedicated to the operators forthcoming re-brand to 'Virgin Media'.

The site has been created as a simple tool designed to explain how the changes will impact existing customers, such as a single branding for all broadband packages:


Prices are not expected to change, although there's long been a difference between the service quality from Telewest's side of the network and that of NTL's. Hopefully the overall performance gets improved rather than the current two sided coin design.

Customers will at least be pleased to learn that their e-mail address doesn't have to change, although a newer one will be available if so required. Elsewhere there's a special Virgin Media website being prepared for launch day:
