The chief executive officer of UK ISP Madasafish, David Laurie, has added a quick comment regarding Ofcom's new broadband ADSL migration code (MAC) rules:
We are delighted that Ofcom has finally created a level playing field by implementing the new legislation regarding MACs.
For those of us ISPs that have always provided customers with free MACs as part of the package there will be little change to our service.
Ofcom now needs to turn its attention to the subjects of mis-selling unlimited usage and the outrageous practice of providing locked routers to customers which is also designed to limit customer choice.
