Customers of
Nildram and
Freedom2Surf's
Tiscali UK based broadband ADSL services have been hit by a serious spate of connectivity problems this morning after the ISPs authentication servers began refusing users details. The situation appears to be almost identical to one that occurred on New Years day (
news).
Just as before no service status updates could be found upon
Nildram's service status page, though one of
Freedom2Surf's staff was able to offer the following information:
Core network outage We are currently investigating a problem on our core network that is affecting a number of customers establishing a connection to the internet. Our network engineers are investigating this as a high priority and are working to resolve this as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
http://www.tiscaliuser.net Hopefully the situation can be sorted faster this time than last, when a considerable part of
Tiscali's broadband services remained inaccessible for most of New Years day.
UPDATE 9:48am: The service finally appears to be returning to normal for some customers.
