Be Broadband (
O2) has managed to offer us a quick update on the status of its current network congestion problems (
original news), which have been causing some users slow speeds and high latency for the past few weeks, especially during peak times.
We're informed that most, if not all, of the traffic concerned has now been re-routed and hardly any members should be experiencing congestion at the moment. The bulk of the problem is apparently affecting people that live in the North of England, Scotland and N.Ireland.
In addition the following areas can expect to receive key network upgrades in 6 to 8 weeks time:
Brighton,
Sheffield,
Liverpool,
Manchester,
Leeds,
Middlesbrough,
Newcastle,
Warrington,
South Belfast,
Glasgow,
Edinburgh,
Preston
