Virgin Media's website has today begun promoting a new bundle that includes an 'up to' 20Mbps cable broadband service, unlimited anytime voice calls to UK landlines and a HP 550 Notebook PC worth £329 - all for £28.95 a month. New customers can also add a digital TV package for an extra £11 per month if required.
The temporary offer is available to new customers only. To receive the laptop you must subscribe by 6pm tomorrow to Virgin's Phone Size: XL plus phone line and Virgin Broadband Size: XL at £28.95 per month for the first 6 months. Standard prices apply thereafter, currently £38.95, subject to an 18 month minimum term contract.
The broadband XL package also includes a free wireless router and PCguard Total security, which protects PC's with an anti-virus, firewall & pop-up blocker. The laptop itself has a 15.4" widescreen display, weighs 2.49kg, comes installed with Windows Vista Home Basic, has a Celeron M530 CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, DVD+/-RW Drive, 120GB hard disk and a built-in wireless (Intel PRO/Wireless 802.11 a/b/g) chip.
