ISP
Fatcat Internet, which acquired the assets of troubled UK ISP RedTen Internet during June this year, following a range of service problems and financial disputes (
related news history), has now ceased providing support to Ex-RedTen customers due to yet another payment dispute. RedTen had originally been one of the first UK ISPs to bundle free laptops with a broadband package, though they quickly fell into financial difficulties.
Ex-RedTen users that attempt to contact Fatcat on the 0871 317 1004 support number are given an automated message apologising for the loss of support due to a lack of payment and directing users to contact the manager of Clode Retail Finance. The move is all the more unusual because both RedTen and Fatcat have historically appeared to be backed by the Clode finance company.
To date Fatcats website continues to say
coming soon as it did several months ago and the situation surrounding RedTens former customers appears to remain perpetually confused.
