Entanet has entered the Sunday Times 2008 Tech Track 100, which lists the fastest-growing privately-owned technology companies in the UK. The network operator, which supplies several ISPs (e.g. ADSL24,
Aquiss etc.) with broadband connectivity services, placed a respectable 61st after achieving annual sales growth of 53% over the past three years.
Entanet's customer base now exceeds 80,000 broadband users in the UK. Working through a nationwide network of partners, the company grew its sales to an annualised level of £17.2 million last year by providing a range of voice and data services, including broadband, IP telephony and private network solutions:
Entanet fully expects to continue its further growth and development says Darren Farnden, Marketing Manager at the company. We are extremely proud and pleased of this achievement, which clearly identifies Entanet as one of the UKs leading communications and Internet service providers and places us ahead of many other privately-held ISPs in growth terms. We expect that growth to continue. We are continuing to invest in our network and to grow our customer base in all areas, including broadband, leased lines and voice.
Entanet is currently in the process of deploying a new generation of 'up to' 24Mbps (ADSL2+) broadband services and is investing millions in to its nationwide network. Thanks to earlier trials they also became the first to provide ADSL2+ over BTs network to end-users, though several non-
BT unbundled (
LLU) providers had been offering similar services for awhile.
Most other providers are currently waiting for the managed version of the 24Mbps supporting service (WMBC), which isnt expected to become fully available until well into 2009.
