Virgin Media plans to launch the "UK's cheapest ever" bundled Mobile Broadband package on Monday. Both new and existing customers will be able buy the mobile service from as little as £5 per month when taken with the operators XL (20Mbps), L (10Mbps) cable broadband or Virgin.net ADSL 'Bundle 1' (8Mbps) services.

The monthly cost increases to £10 per month for customers on Virgin Media’s M (2Mbps) cable broadband package, Virgin.net's ADSL 'Bundle 2' (8Mbps) or the basic ADSL service:


The mobile broadband package comes with a 12 month contract and 1GB of monthly data allowance, with usage over the allowance being charged at 1.46 pence per MB. However customers will still need to stump up £25 for the USB Modem (Dongle).
