Tiscali's CEO, Mary Turner, has confirm to one of our readers, whom wishes to remain anonymous, that the UK's fifth largest ISP with 1.77m broadband subscribers has no plans to adopt Phorms controversial advertising system:
A spokesman for Tiscali's CEO said: "We have not implemented Phorm or any similar behavioural targeting system and we do not have any plans to do so."
Phorm works with ISPs to monitor what websites you visit for use in targeted advertising campaigns, though its methods have raised many legal and privacy concerns.
