Thinkbroadband reports that
BT Wholesale has delayed the launch of its Wholesale Broadband Managed Connect (WBMC) product until summer 2009. WBMC is brought by a smaller number of ISPs and allows the provider to deploy 'up to' 24Mbps (ADSL2+) broadband services. The delay is reportedly down to unspecified difficulties with
BT's ordering system for the service.
It's important not to confuse WMBC with
BT's non-managed equivalent, WBC, which is already being deployed by Entanet's vISPs. Other UK ISPs are expected to follow suit during early 2009. Though WBC hasn't been without a few delays of its own (
news). Still, at least BT's unbundled (LLU) competition will be pleased.
