Tiscalis Freedom2Surf E-Mail Down for Four Days

Customers of the Tiscali UK owned broadband ISP Freedom2Surf (F2S) are at their wits end after the providers e-mail servers began suffering problems at the end of last week. The situation left some users without e-mail for over half a week, while others have had more sporadic problems accessing the service:
The service does now appear to be back to normal, although customers have been frustrated by the providers general lack of communication throughout the problems.
In a statement to TheInquirer F2S said: "Freedom2surf has been working on the planned essential upgrade of its mail platform which would not have affected customers. However during this we experienced an unexpected failure on the legacy F2S platform which has resulted in some un-migrated customers temporarily losing access to their mail box.
Our technical team have been working round the clock to resolve this and we now believe that this has been resolved, but we will be testing over the next 24 hours before we confirm everything is back to normal.
We do apologise for the inconvenience and we will continue to provide updates on our service status page."
