Virgin Media Confirms 15th Dec 50Mbps Broadband Launch

Virgin Media has now confirmed an earlier rumour that its new 'up to' 50Mbps (DOCSIS 3.0) broadband cable modem service would be launched on 15th December 2008. Details remain thin on the ground, although information from earlier trials has hinted at a price point of around £50 per month.
Regular readers will also recall the recent leaking of pictures showing their new 50Mbps capable modems (here), although any details outside of that are purely speculative and subject to change.
