The Carphone Warehouse Group Plc. (AOL UK, TalkTalk) is to begin setting up a subsidiary in India from early next month, which will be responsible for providing support to customers of its UK TalkTalk and AOL ISP brands.
Details are yet to be finalised, though up to 30 people are expected to be employed and it is not clear whether the new subsidiary will be based in either Mumbai or New Delhi.
Typically AOL Broadband is no stranger to offshore contact centres and already has four, employing around 3,000 people worldwide, including 2,500 in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.
