Nildram Revamps Broadband Packages

Posted: 23rd Apr, 2008 By: MarkJ
Customers of UK ISP Nildram, which was acquired by Tiscali UK last year as part of its deal with Pipex, will not be surprised to learn that the provider has revamped its packages to bring them more into line with Tiscali's own offers.

The changes, which include a slightly more colourful company webpage, mean that residential broadband prices now start from £11.50 per month for an 'up to' 8Mbps and 1GB capped (unlimited off-peak) package:

Lite2Go - £11.50

** Select any broadband package, and we'll add in a FREE Billion 5200G WiFi Router. Or, if a router is not required, enjoy the 13th month FREE (both subject to 12 month contract) includes FREE setup. Without the FREE router or 13th month FREE - broadband packages are subject to a 3 month contract (Voice mins optional). Setup is FREE.

Nildram (Tiscali) has also introduced a number of new business packages, which offer download speeds of 'up to' 16Mbps (1Mbps upload). Prices start from £19.50 per month for a package with "UNLIMITED transfers", although as usual we always urge caution with any use of "unlimited" terminology; quality may be sacrificed.

The more expensive business packages also clone Pipex to offer a real-time "Download guarantee" of 200Kbps for the £32.00 option and 500Kbps for the £49.00 package; hardly inspiring stuff but perhaps useful to some.
