Virgin Media to Reduce Customer Support Call Charges

Regular readers may recall that Virgin Media raised its support call prices to 25 pence per minute (ppm) on 1st July last year (original news). Its reasoning stemmed from an alleged increase in "general enquiries" as opposed to true calls for help.
However, Virgin's move was not very popular and as a result the provider has decided to drop its call costs back to local rate (0845). Customers with a cable phone will also be able to dial 151 for free.
