Regular readers may recall that
Virgin Media raised its support call prices to 25 pence per minute (ppm) on 1st July last year (
original news). Its reasoning stemmed from an alleged increase in "
general enquiries" as opposed to true calls for help.
However, Virgin's move was not very popular and as a result the provider has decided to drop its call costs back to local rate (0845). Customers with a cable phone will also be able to dial 151 for free.
