BT Customers Face Blocked E-Mail Accounts

BT customers were left frustrated over the Easter break after a mail server problem prevented them from accessing their web-based e-mail accounts. The problems began over one week ago and caused frustration among users, many of which feel that BT has failed to keep them informed.

The operator has admitted to a problem on its BT Yahoo! platform, although it is not clear what caused it, meanwhile some customers are continuing to experience problems. BT's own service status page only makes reference to an SMTP upgrade, which may or may not be related:
