Zen Internet has begun offering its broadband ADSL customers the ability to expand their website space to 1GB at no extra cost:
Zen Internets broadband customers will be able to take advantage of 1GB of Web space at no extra cost, from 20 September. The Rochdale-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) has set a new standard for ISPs by deciding to quadruple the amount of Web space currently offered by most ISPs. This will allow its customers to store many more large-size files, including their collections of music and digital photographs, and business users will have enough hosting space for several large-scale commercial Web sites.
Under normal circumstances, anybody looking to increase their available Web space would need to approach a hosting company and purchase the extra capacity separately. Zen Internet customers with any of the following services - ADSL broadband or SDSL, Dial One or VPN Dial One, Domain registration or transfer, ISDN Network or ZenDirect leased lines - will now have access to 1GB of Web space automatically - at no additional cost.
This will put an end to most customers worries about adding lots of new pages to large Web sites, or uploading too many music files said Ian Buckley, Zens marketing manager. They can relax about it. 1GB of Web space is a lot of elbow room, no matter what you need it for. It provides freedom to use the Internet at full capacity, without always having to keep an eye on how much Web space you might be taking up.
People do need more Web space than ever before, says Ian. With the increasing trends in collecting music, games and films from the Internet, we hope that the additional capacity we are offering will not only attract new customers, but also put an end to the frustrations experienced by many of our existing customers who currently have to pay extra to get additional Web space.
