Broadband TV Comes To NTL

BroadbandTV, a joint venture between YooMedia and ICTV, it to trial an interactive broadband based TV service over NTL's set-top-box platform:
The trial will use ICTV's HeadendWare technology, which the firm says provides richer content than normal interactive TV platforms. The technology will be made available through ntl's existing standard cable set-top boxes.
The service can provide Flash and Shockwave animation and high quality streaming audio and full motion video.
The trial itself is set to start in 2005, so we'll have to wait a few more months before knowing exactly how the system pans out. More @ netimperative.com .
