Activeware ISP Responds To Concerns

UK ISP Activeware has issued a press release to correct and update some of the recent posts made on our forum. It would appear as if the connectivity problems relate to 'port contention issues', which they are in the process of trying to resolve 'as a matter of priority':
Activeware Internet
Activeware Internet would like to respond categorically to some malicious posts on ISP review with regard to their current service provision.
1) Activeware Internet confirm there are experiencing some port contention issues currently we are seeking to resolve this as a matter of priority.
2) Dialup access numbers for Activeware clients are currently 08089909016 and 08089909017.
3) If you are current experiencing issues with your internet service please contact our respective Technical Support or Billing departments who will endeavor to answer you call as promptly as possible. Contact numbers are as follows : -
Technical Support: 0905 818 0000
Billing: 0871 433 3000
4) We are currently experiencing a high of calls to our contact centre but will endeavor to answer your call as quickly as possible.

Its unclear how long the problems will continue before a complete solution is found, although one reader alleges to have been told September by support assistants. Hopefully it will just be a matter of hours or, at worst, days and not weeks.
