School Children Bombarded By SPAM

Email Systems has reported that up to 50% of SPAM e-mail sent to school children contains adverts for drugs (Viagra etc.), while one fifth promoted pornography:
Email Systems made the claim one week into a three-year deal to supply web-based email filtering for The London Grid for Learning.
The London Grid for Learning, made up of 33 London education authorities, provides broadband connectivity, education services and online content to the education community throughout London. More than 1.1 million children in the London area can access its services.
Email Systems said it identified and blocked an average of 75 per cent of incoming emails each day as illegitimate, with peaks of up to 95 per cent at selected times of the day.
