Prime Minister Tony Blair has announced a new September summit to tackle the problem of online child pornography and has invited ISPs to join; he also spoke of his support for BT's Cleanfeed filtering platform:
Internet service providers will be invited to share their approaches to preventing access to sites containing illegal material.
"We welcome the BT initiative to block access to web pages containing images of child abuse," Blair told Parliament. "We would encourage any measure that other ISPs take to reduce the availability of such images."Hopefully the government won't see such filtering as a method they can abuse for other uses. More @
