E-Mail security firm Messagelabs has reported that the number of junk (SPAM) messages containing inappropriate / sensitive images (porn etc.) has declined over the past 6 months:
Emails containing pornography, cartoons, jokes and greetings cards as attachments fell from one in 4,756 to a one in 1,357 during a six-month period from March to August this year.
The figures, put together by email security company Messagelabs, also revealed that in August there was a universal drop in spam and viruses in circulation. Of all email scanned by Messagelabs Anti-Spam service, 84 per cent was categorised as spam compared with 94.5 per cent in July.Typically this is good news, yet we doubt SPAM as a whole will continue to decline (happy to be proved wrong).
