BT officially lifted the line distance requirements on its 512Kbps broadband ADSL product this morning and extended the reach of 1Mbps from 4 to 6KM. Those that couldn't get ADSL before should try checking the updated
BT Checker again.
It's estimated that the relaxation will result in roughly 1million more people being able to get broadband than before. However, a large influx of new orders could still potentially slow the overall upgrade process down.
