Gio Internet has issued a second update, offering up a few more details about their broadband ADSL migration plans:
A small percentage of Gio Internet (1724) customers that are using the old system are to be migrated to a new improved platform. The existing Broadband customers are being switched to a new DataStream network to offer them improved connectivity with a solid reliable Internet connection. Gio Internet has been through many upgrades and improvements which have increased service and reliability substantially.
This move comes after some customers on the particular platform complaining about speed and reliability and to bring those customers inline with the new improved platform we will be migrating those customers to allow them to have a better Internet experience.
The migration will take about 5-10 days. The users are not expected to experience any downtime. Although there is possibility of a small number of users that may need a configuration change. We will try to inform our users with as much detail as possible to ensure that the migration goes smoothly.
All customers have been emailed a free backup dial-up account which will allow them to access the internet while the migration takes place. Please visit http://www.giointernet.com for more information.
