Silvermead, a UK broadband satellite ISP, has ended its collaboration with PlanetSky and gone it alone. This has resulted in the service offering a new 1 & 2Mbps broadband satellite product:
New Satellite Broadband Accounts
Silvermead believes that It is important that all of our broadband packages, ADSL and Satellite, perform in a similar way to ensure that our customers always receive a service that allows them to use the Internet they way they want to.
Since launching our satellite broadband service we have been the exclusive UK partner for PlanetSky packaging and reselling their services. It has been decided by Silvermead that these packages no longer fulfil the needs and expectations of our customers. For this reason we have decided that the best thing for our members is to take control of the packages ourselves creating and supporting them ourselves from within the UK.
The result being that we have created a range of packages that, as closely as possible, match a broadband package that would be available to you if you were in an ADSL area. We have introduced new speeds offering access up to 2Mb, lifted daily download restrictions and added a lite package that makes satellite broadband even more affordable. Check out our new range for full details of the packages available to you.
Over the coming weeks and months we will continue to improve our services through working on our two-way satellite and multicast projects and by moving to the main UK beam of the Eurobird satellite. This will mean that your signal strength will greatly increase and that the service will be more stable as we grow and move forward.
You can view our new range of accounts online at http://www.silvermead.net/satellite/packages.html now.
