The latest report from the Mobile Data Association (MDA) has revealed that mobile Internet page impressions for the four UK operators totalled 699m (22m per day) in May 2003, which compares with 11m per day for September 2002:
The most popular WAP sites viewed during May continued to be those offering ringtones and screensavers, although there is an increasing percentage of page impressions now also coming from sports and news sites.
May's figure shows that messaging via mobile continues to grow in all forms from text, WAP, MMS and GPRS based e-mail. The MDA says it confidently forecasts continued growth.More @
