TalkUK ISP Offers 1ppm Dialup

Posted: 10th May, 2003 By: MarkJ
From Monday 12th May 2003 subscribers to TalkUK will be able to use a new one penny per minute (1ppm) dialup package:

TalkUK plc have announced the introduction of a 1p a minute (inc Vat) at anytime internet access package called StarLite. Primarily aimed at people who are light to medium users of the internet who do not want to pay for unlimited access that they may not use. TalkUK wants to become everyone's backup ISP!

Accounts come with 2 POP3/Webmail accounts, with newsgroup access to be shortly introduced. Open to users with BT lines only, registration can be completed online at http://www.talk-i.net. Existing TalkUK telephony customers can have the StarLite package added to their existing account. New customers will require a credit card and a 'security deposit' of £7.50 charged to the card. Account and billing details can be viewed online through TalkUK's password protected website.

The service goes live on Monday 12th May but registrations are being taken now.
