Freeserve has gained somewhat of a reputation for persistently complaining about its rivals. Today the ISP has announced that it intends to continue this policy:
David Melville, Freeserve general counsel, told Web User: "The internet market remains a confusing place for many consumers and its important that the industry itself doesn't add to that confusion.
We will continue to challenge on every front available to us - including a much strengthened competition law regime in order to make sure we can deliver a profitable service to our members, at lowest cost," he added.
"At this early stage of the broadband market we make no apologies for using every weapon available to us to ensure that our position as the UK's leading ISP is maintained," Melville said.No mention of the 17 complaints that
Freeserve itself has generated related to its own ISP advertising - all from members of the public and not rivals. More @
