The UKs largest cable operator, NTL, has signed an exclusive new deal with 'Premium TV' (PTV) to provide football fans with broadband cable modem services.
PTV is responsible for operating a number of official football club websites:
The company has created a bundled package for fans that consists of an NTL broadband connection and a free subscription to PTV's 'World' service, which provides them with daily audio and video content.
An online postcode checker will determine whether football fans can access the NTL network and they have the choice between a 600Kpbs or 1Mb broadband service.
By purchasing the bundled product, fans will save about £35, equivalent to the cost of a one-year subscription to 'World'. PTV has also extended the offer those existing NTL subscribers that bought a connection after 1 August 2002.The
netimperative.info item reports that the deal is expected to extend to 75 of the 80 clubs that PTV counts as clients.
