UK Internet Service Provider Fast24 is launching the RapidPlay range of ADSL (Broadband) internet access services to complement its existing dialup offers.
An initial launch of two 512KBit services (at 50:1 and 20:1 contention ratios), will be complemented in early August with the launch of four additional services of 1MBit (50:1), 2MBit (50:1), 1MBit (20:1), and 2 MBit (20:1) with national availability across the regularly expanding BT DSL footprint. All services have just a 3-month minimum contract tie-in period.
The RapidPlay portfolio of services, as the name implies, is tailored to the needs of the
Online Gaming Community - with the view that any service geared towards the average gamer, who is hungry for bandwidth and connection performance, will also be of great interest to any internet user for whom ISDN does not suffice.
At the introduction of the second phase of products, users will benefit from a service which peers with
Telewest (Blueyonder), Game Digital (
Barrysworld), UK Solutions (UKSgaming) and
Firstnet (Wireplay) - either directly or across the LINX (The London Internet Exchange).
ADSL offers the subscriber an always on high speed internet service across the existing BT copper telephone wires without the need for high cost fibre optic cables, but with the added benefit of allowing the simultaneous use of your existing telephone.
For new accounts ordered between now and the end of July 2003, Fast24 are cutting the normal ADSL set-up fee in-half - meaning you will only pay a one-off setup fee of £29.38 (inc. VAT) for your Fast24 ADSL service.
As a further promotional offer, Fast24 are also offering any customer who signs-up for their 512 kbps ADSL account the chance to upgrade FREE-OF-CHARGE to either the 1 Mbps, or 2 Mbps, service when it becomes available in August (subject only to you paying the additional monthly account charge).
