Freeserve has teamed up with Wanadoo France (its parent company), Spain and the Netherlands to run an Internet based European song contest:
Ten new UK artists and bands, including unsigned Welsh rockers The Caves, have been chosen to compete for the title of hottest new UK artist, with the winner going through to a European final against winners from Wanadoo's other territories.
You can listen and vote for your favourite track from all the chosen UK artists at Freeserve until 11 April, while entering a competition to win prizes, including a flat screen TV and a trip to Morocco, at the same time.
Between 12 and 25 April, the UK winner will face the other three national winners in a head-to-head Grand Final competition, with the public voting online to choose the best new artist for 2004.That's right folks, if you didn't feel physically sick enough during the 'Junior Eurovision Song Contest' then perhaps now is a time to relive that experience - hurray!
On the bright side the real Eurovision is coming soon, so wont that be nice. Then again we could be wrong and some truly original, less cosmetic, music might be born. More @
