The UK's second largest cable operator,
Telewest, has finally released its 4th quarter and full year results for 2003 -
HERE (.pdf format). As of 11th March
Telewest had over 452,000 broadband cable modem subscribers.
38,000 of its 452,000 hi-speed subscribers were connected via blueyonders 1Mbps link, with 8,000 on its 2Mbps service and the remainder (majority) with 512Kbps.
Internet and other revenues (before VAT) increased to £34 million from £24 million, due largely to the operators broadband growth.
We also note that Telewests unmetered dialup subscribers decreased by roughly 9,000 to 184,009 from 193,201 a year ago. Likewise the local call rate service dropped from 85,025 to just 49,368. Total Internet subscribers stood at a firm 647,986.
